Here’s some additional information we received from the original requestor who was curious how to treat fibroadenomas found in her breasts:
Just did a MRI and a breast specialist told me they no longer remove them. In the past I’ve had two lumpectomies.
The recommendation was for me to have to have cosmetic surgery to have them removed. I came across articles where they say cryotherapy can reduce them. So, I thought I would reach out to CoolCRYO to see if you offered such a service.

What are Fibroadenomas?
Benign (non-cancerous) breast tumors made up of both glandular tissue and stromal (connective) tissue.
Can Cryotherapy reduce fibroadenomas in the breast?
When articles refer to cryotherapy, they are generally referring to the medial procedure cryoablation. At CoolCRYO, we don’t provide any service that would address fibroadenomas.
The most common ways to address fibroadenomas are:
- Do nothing
- Surgical removal (lumpectomy or VAB)
- Removal via cryoablation
Items 2 and 3 above would need to be performed by a medical doctor.
A plastic surgeon that does breast augmentations could possibly help. If you decide to take that route, you may want to contact the doctor below who is highly regarded here in the Rapid City area.
