DESTROY STUBBORN FAT
Long-term effects from regular Cryo Sculpting sessions can result in a “browning effect” to white fat (stubborn fat) which is hard to get rid of. Brown fat metabolizes much faster.
After repeated Cryo Sculpting sessions, the white fat starts to become brown and easier for us to destroy.
Targeting areas such as:
- Stomach / Tummy
- Thighs (back / inner / outer)
- Flanks (love handles)
- Bra Bulge
- Chest (breast lift/reduction, man boobs)
- Arms
- Chin & more

FAQ
What is Cryo Sculpting Fat Freezing?
Cryo Sculpting (or Cryo Slimming) is a new form of fat freezing and body contouring. We use the newest & most innovative cryo-aesthetics equipment currently available.
Utilizing our specialized equipment, liquid CO2 is instantly transformed into a dry gas. This hyper-cooled gas is sprayed on the treatment area in a high velocity. This allows us to achieve deeper penetration and faster cooling, overcoming the resistance of hardened fat cells.
This technique is safe, effective, and comfortable.
What is Liquid CO2?
Liquid CO2 is carbon dioxide gas that is highly compressed and cooled to a liquid form.
For more information, please see Supercritical carbon dioxide on Wikipedia.
What is Cryolipolysis®?
Cryolipolysis® is a registered trademark of Zeltiq Aesthetics, Inc.
In simple terms, it’s a specific method of freezing fat cells below the skin’s surface (subcutaneous fat) in order to destroy them.
Prior to Cryo Sculpting, the most common types of fat-freezing treatments have been CoolSculpting®, CryoSkin & Cryo T-Shock.
For more information, please see Cryolipolysis on Wikipedia.
Cryo Slimming vs Cryo Sculpting. What's the difference?
There is no difference between Cryo Slimming & Cryo Sculpting. Some businesses refer to their new fat freezing treatments as Cryo Slimming while others use Cryo Sculpting.
These treatments are the newest alternative to CoolSculpting®. See “Cryo Sculpting vs CoolSculpting” for additional details.
Cryo Sculpting vs CoolSculpting®: How is it different?
CoolSculpting® is a registered trademark of Zeltiq Aesthetics, Inc.
CoolSculpting® charges per area of the body, and can be a minimum of $1000 for one (1) session to treat an area such as your stomach. To treat a similar area, Cryo Sculpting would be less than 1/3 of the cost!
CoolSculpting® uses applicators & suction to freeze fat. Cryo Sculpting is performed by spraying hyper-cooled CO2 (a dry gas) on the area in a high intensity. Because of this, we can reach more areas on the body than CoolSculpting® can.
On rare occasions CoolSculpting® can result in some delayed onset pain, typically beginning several days after treatment. This normally subsides within 1-2 weeks. In contrast, clients may actually feel more energetic after a Cryo Sculpting treatment.
In a very small number of cases, a CoolSculpting® treated area can harden into a butter stick-shaped lump (paradoxical adipose hyperplasia). This will never occur with Cryo Sculpting, since the treatment uses a spray-on application.
While very effective in freezing fat, CoolSculpting® treatments can feel uncomfortable to some due to the combination of suction and cold. In a Cryo Sculpting session, clients may experience being cold, but will not experience any discomfort.
CoolSculpting® treatments can range from 30-60 minutes. A single Cryo Sculpting session (area) is roughly 15 minutes on average, from start to finish.
With CoolSculpting®, results can be seen approximately 4 weeks to 4 months after treatment. With Cryo Sculpting, some may see results after the first treatment. For others, results can normally be seen within 7-21 days. Individual results may vary.
Of course there are other differences. If you’d like to learn more, check out our #1 Alternative to CoolSculpting article, or feel free to contact us!
Cryo Sculpting vs Cryo T-Shock or Cryoskin: How is it different?
Cryo T-Shock and Cryoskin utilize a flat round applicator applied to skin by a technician. It is another form of fat freezing / CryoSlimming. The applicator is applied in massage-like manner over the treatment area. The applicator alternates between cold and warm temperatures.
Our Cryo Sculpting technology utilizes hyper-cooled gas that is sprayed onto the treatment area in a high velocity. Our process delivers a more targeted flow, the pressure is much higher, and the temperature of application is lower. This allows us to achieve deeper penetration and faster cooling, overcoming the resistance of hardened fat cells.
Cryo T-Shock and Cryoskin use gels on the treated area that allows the applicator to glide more smoothly over the treatment area. The gel is removed after the treatment.
Our Cryo Sculpting process does not utilize any gels.
Is Cryo Sculpting better than Lipo?
Lipo (liposuction) is by far one of the best & fastest surgical fat removal procedures available. That said, it is impossible to compare lipo to Cryo Sculpting because they are completely different in nature (surgical vs non-surgical).
Cryo Sculpting is a fat-freezing treatment, and we utilize some of the most advanced equipment currently available. We freeze adipose tissue (fat just below the skin’s surface) during each treatment. The fat cells crystallize, permanently die, and flush out of the system over the course of several days to weeks/months.
So, the process removes fat cells, as does liposuction, but in a different, slower, yet non-surgical way.
Does Cryo Sculpting work on those of any body size / BMI / fat percentage?
Our fat freezing technology works incredibly well on people of all sizes.
We have seen some evidence to show it can be additionally effective on those with Hyperplasia (fat cell number increase) and hypertrophy (fat cell size increase).
In simple terms, unhealthy (oversized) fat cells are easier to shrink than healthy ones, so our larger clients usually see better, more notable results.
We have no BMI restrictions, making our treatments one of the best alternatives to other fat freezing treatments.
Is Cryo Sculpting for Men & Women?
Absolutely! Men & women (all sexes) can benefit from any of our Cryo Sculpting treatments.
Can Cryo Sculpting be done during a woman's menstrual cycle?
Yes, Cryo Sculpting (fat freezing) can be, and is regularly performed during the menstrual cycle / period.
Some women may retain water slightly before & during their cycle, and as such, may be more sensitive to the cold.
Additionally, there may be a tad more discomfort after the treatment due to a natural elevation in inflammatory cytokines (small secreted proteins) that occurs with a menstrual cycle.
Does Cryo Sculpting hurt?
No. Clients may feel cold, but should not experience any discomfort. Some clients will feel more energized after a Cryo Sculpting session.
What should I wear to a Cryo Sculpting appointment?
Please wear loose clothing or underwear / bathing suit which allows complete access to treatment area.
This is especially important when the following areas are being treated:
- Lower tummy/stomach
- Back upper legs / thighs
- Outer & inner thighs
- Butt
For our female clients requesting breast area treatments, we have complimentary disposable nipple covers available.
For your convenience, we also have complimentary disposable panties and bras when/if needed.
What should I do to prepare for a Cryo Sculpting appointment?
- Be sure to wear or bring the appropriate clothing (see above for details)
- Do not wear / apply any creams in the treatment area
- Skin should be free of sweat (but don’t worry, we’ll dry you off)
- Stay hydrated
- If possible, avoid doing anything to artificially increase body temp (no warm clothes)
- If possible, please avoid working out / exercise immediately before appointment
- Note any marks, scars, or sores in treatment area prior to treatment (We’ll also bring these to your attention)
But, we’ll still be able to treat you even if you do any of the things-to-avoid items above on the day of your treatment.
How long does a Cryo Sculpting session last?
It depends on the area(s) being treated. We usually reserve 30 minutes for each treatment session.
How long will it take to see results after a Cryo Sculpting treatment?
Most will see initial progress within 4-5 treatments of their treatment program.
Much of the results also depend on the individual, their body, and their overall health habits. The better the individual takes care of themselves, the more likely the better result.
How many treatments will I need?
Most clients, on average, go through a 12-treatment program.
Changes can be, and usually are, subtle. Keep in mind that we’re freezing/killing subcutaneous fat (fat right below the skin) at each session, so it does come off in layers and not all at once.
For Skin Tightening / Repair, we generally recommend a minimum of 12 treatments.
The more reduction or tightening desired, the more treatments that will be needed.
Also, everyone’s body responds to treatments differently. A very few experience some loss or improvement within one week of the first treatment, but the majority take more time.
Results also depend on how well the individual takes care of themselves (i.e. nutrition, activity, exercise).
There are some rare cases where getting reduction is more difficult. People with subpar lymphatic systems, hypothyroidism, hormonal imbalances (especially due to pre/post-menopause), or some other type of underlying physical abnormality can prevent fat loss.
There are several types of tests that can help identify the above types of biological issues. The most common are blood tests, however, we also suggest that clients explore other options such as saliva and dried urine tests.
Does Cryo Sculpting result in permanent fat loss?
Cryo Sculpting does permanently freeze & kill existing fat cells.
When fat cells are destroyed (or removed) they are gone permanently. After puberty, fat cells no longer multiply, but existing fat cells can become larger (hypertrophy).
Our treatments result in both fat cell shrinkage and apoptosis/necrosis (fat cell death).
So, while fat cells will be permanently removed from the body, it is important to maintain a generally healthy lifestyle to avoid any remaining fat cells to grow larger.
These treatments are not a replacement for a healthy lifestyle, they are an assist.
What should I do after a Cryo Sculpting session to maximize my results?
We recommend following these best practices & guidelines:
- Stay properly hydrated. Increase water intake and add lemon and/or apple cider vinegar if possible. Consider water alternatives, such as healthy electrolyte drinks
- Exercise daily for 15-30 minutes
- Massage the area. Optional: wear compression clothing if available
- Avoid sugars (especially fructose), refined grains (especially gluten), and chemically modified fats
- Limit high salt foods
- Perform dry brushing in sweeping motions, always toward the heart
The above are all known to promote healthy lymphatic drainage.
How long do you need to wait between Cryo Sculpting sessions?
We generally recommend 7-10 days between Cryo Sculpting treatments.
Some treatments can be done more or less frequently, so please be sure to check with our staff for additional details.
Are there any side effects with Cryo Sculpting?
Clients may experience:
- Increased energy & feeling happy
- Some temporary redness in the treatment area
- Possibly more frequent bathroom visits (body flushing out the dead fat cells)
On rare occasions:
- Mild bloating
- Mild rash
- If a treatment area is somewhat over-exposed to cold, a skin burn may occur. These can be easily treated with ointments such as silver dioxide, Silver Miracles Colloidal Silver Gel, Improved Medihoney Gel Wound & Burn, or other similar over-the-counter ointments
- On Clients who have darker skin, when/if the skin is injured, it can result in Post Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation (PIH). It is a temporary inflammatory response to the injury (Cryo is anti-inflammatory)
What are the contraindications of a Cryo Sculpting treatment?
We do not recommend Cryo Sculpting for those with the following conditions:
- Cancer (active or recent)
- Pregnancy (ok for pain management or edema – but an OBGYN must sign-off)
- Blood clotting disorders
- Installed pain pumps
Can Cryo Sculpting get rid of a double chin?
We do have a Chin / Neck Cryo Sculpting treatment that focuses on the neck area, with a specific emphasis on reducing the appearance of a double chin.
Results largely depend on the chin and the amount of adipose tissue (“fat”) that is under the skin. We also need to combine skin tightening with the fat reduction to ensure we don’t leave the client with loose skin.
For fat reduction and skin tightening in the chin area, it would likely take several treatments to ensure a good result.
Can I request a specific technician?
Unfortunately, due to staff scheduling & availability, we are unable to guarantee a specific technician. If you have a special request, please contact us and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.
